Tim Dillon Says CNN Might Bury His Interview: “Just Put the Hour Out”

Comedian Tim Dillon revealed that CNN may never release the full hour-long interview he recorded with the network. While promoting his new Netflix special, Dillon shared that the conversation covered a wide range of political topics, including border policy, gender issues, and the media’s role in shaping narratives.

According to Dillon, the interview got awkward when the host asked if his fellow podcast comedians are “the new establishment.” He pushed back, pointing to government agencies, elite universities, and legacy media as the real power players. “Do I think Theo Von is the establishment? No,” he said.

He also dismissed claims that comedians avoid CNN out of fear that Joe Rogan would disapprove. “He doesn’t care. That’s the silliest thing ever,” Dillon said.

Dillon claims CNN told him the interview is being edited, but he's urging them to release the full version. “I sat there for an hour. What are we doing?” he said.

A CNN journalist told Dillon she’s pushing for a long-form release—but for now, it’s unclear if anyone will see the full, uncut footage.
