Joe Rogan Eyes National Expansion for Comedy Mothership
Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership in Austin has already established itself as a major hub for stand-up, but the comedian and podcast host is setting his sights even higher. On a recent podcast episode, Rogan floated the idea of taking the Mothership brand to new cities, with Nashville and Brooklyn on the radar.
"If we open up another Mothership, do you think Nashville would be a good spot?" Rogan asked, before debating whether the move would complement or compete with the city’s iconic Zanies Comedy Club. His focus, however, remains on the local comic community. "You got to have like a base...that want to perform all the time," he said, emphasizing the need for a steady flow of talent.
Rogan also toyed with the idea of setting up shop in a more unconventional location: Brooklyn. "Thought about going to the most woke place...and setting up shop," he joked, alluding to a potential clash of cultures.
If the expansion materializes, the Comedy Mothership could be on its way to becoming a dominant name in stand-up nationwide, offering both comics and fans a new stage to connect across the country.
