Tim Dillon Talks Election Night at Rogan’s Comedy Mothership

Tim Dillon recently joined Joe Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience, sharing behind-the-scenes details about plans to host an election night comedy show at Rogan’s famed Comedy Mothership club. Originally, Dillon, Rogan, and comedians Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe considered making the event a live show. But, as Dillon tells it, one ill-timed Puerto Rican joke made them rethink the logistics. “We were talking about doing a live show,” Dillon said, “but then somebody told a Puerto Rican joke, and we’re like, maybe that’s not a good idea.”

Rogan and Dillon’s conversation soon took an absurd turn, speculating on the fallout if Trump lost the election. Dillon joked, “If Trump loses, he’s on suicide watch,” suggesting the former president might need to disappear for a while. Rogan offered Canada as a peaceful escape option, while Dillon proposed a more colorful plan involving cartels for sheltering Trump “for a period of months or years.”

Despite nixing the live show idea, Rogan and Dillon’s animated chat only adds to Rogan’s impressive streak of memorable podcast moments, cementing The Joe Rogan Experience as a must-watch for comedy fans.
