Kevin Spacey Hijacks The Tim Dillon Show as Frank Underwood to Promote Netflix Special
Kevin Spacey made a surprise return as Frank Underwood in a chaotic sketch that crashed The Tim Dillon Show, all to promote Tim Dillon’s new Netflix special I’m Your Mother.
The sketch kicks off with Spacey storming into the podcast studio, declaring the internet a wasteland of “clowns juggling boner pills and hair tonic.” He accuses podcasters of pretending to rule the world, whispering in ears and swaying elections. “You podcasters think you’ve inherited the kingdom,” he growls.
Dillon tries to keep up as Spacey, channeling full Underwood energy, delivers sharp lines, mixes up dead political figures (“I’m as dead as John McCain… I meant Herman Cain… Dean Cain?”), and blackmails Dillon into plugging the special. “You once paid $6,000 to overnight a Carvel cake to Norway and returned it because it wasn’t Cookie Puss.”
After a surreal back-and-forth, Dillon gives in: “Jesus Christ, Frank, I’ll read it. But first, plug my special.”
The sketch ends with Spacey reminding us, “We don’t have blackmail. We have content.”
It’s weird. It’s dark. It’s very Tim Dillon. And I’m Your Mother is now streaming on Netflix.
