Joe Rogan Debunks New Book’s Claims About Kamala Harris Interview
Book Alleges Rogan Denied Kamala Harris an Interview
A newly released book, Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House, details behind-the-scenes moments from Kamala Harris’ failed presidential campaign. Written by over 140 authors, including campaign insiders, the book claims that Joe Rogan deliberately blocked Harris from appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).
The book states that Rogan’s team set conditions for the interview, including:
No staff in the studio
No topic restrictions
Harris signing a waiver
Allegedly, the Harris camp agreed to discuss topics like social media censorship and marijuana legalization, but Rogan insisted on discussing the economy, the border, and abortion. The book also claims Harris’ team was concerned about traveling to Texas just for the interview and attempted to pair it with a rally in Houston to justify the trip. However, Rogan’s team declined, citing scheduling conflicts.
Joe Rogan Refutes the Story on His Podcast
On episode #2267 of JRE with Dan Richards, Rogan directly addressed the claims and called them false. He stated that Harris’ team never committed to an interview and that the book’s version of events was completely fabricated.
“They said a bunch of things that weren’t true… They didn’t talk to us, which is kind of crazy. They never committed to doing the show.”
Rogan explained that Trump’s interview was easy to arrange, with no conditions or topic restrictions. He also clarified that Harris’ team later offered an interview in Washington, D.C., but wanted control over the setting, time (limited to 45 minutes), and the presence of a stenographer. Rogan declined, saying he wanted the same conditions as Trump’s interview—three hours, in-studio, and unfiltered.
Misrepresentation of Rogan’s Political Views
The book claims that Rogan’s interview requirements leaned toward conservative topics, but long-time JRE listeners know this is misleading. Rogan has frequently stated that he is politically independent and even supported Bernie Sanders in the past.
During the campaign, Rogan openly said he wasn’t focused on policy discussions and just wanted to have a real conversation with Harris:
“I don’t give a f*** what we talk about. I really don’t. I just want to talk to you. Who the f*** are you?”
This contradicts the book’s assertion that Rogan set strict topic demands. In reality, he was open to any discussion but wanted an authentic, long-form interview like Trump’s.
Media’s Pattern of Spreading Misinformation About Rogan
This isn’t the first time major outlets have attempted to misrepresent Rogan. Networks like CNN and MSNBC have pushed false narratives about him before, only to be debunked on his widely listened-to podcast.
Despite past smears failing, the cycle continues—likely because mainstream figures underestimate Rogan’s reach. Every time a misleading story spreads, he quickly corrects it on JRE, reaching millions of listeners.
Why This Story Backfired
Before this book’s claims surfaced, the story of Harris not appearing on Rogan’s podcast was long forgotten. Now, thanks to Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House, it’s getting more attention than ever—only in a way that makes Harris’ team look bad.
By attempting to spin the situation, campaign insiders may have hoped to deflect blame for Harris skipping the interview. However, Rogan’s ability to directly refute these claims has made the book’s authors look unreliable instead.
