Brendan Schaub

Biography

Brendan Schaub is a former mixed martial artist turned stand-up comedian, podcast host, and actor. He was born on March 18, 1983, in Aurora, Colorado, USA.

Schaub began his athletic career playing football for the University of Colorado before transitioning to professional mixed martial arts (MMA). He competed in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) from 2009 to 2014, amassing a record of 10 wins and 5 losses.

After retiring from MMA, Schaub pursued a career in entertainment. He began performing stand-up comedy in 2014/15 and has since become a regular on the comedy circuit, performing at venues across the United States and Canada. He has also released two comedy specials: "You'd Be Surprised" (2019) and "The Gringo Papi" (2022).

Schaub is also known for co-hosting "The Fighter and The Kid" podcast with fellow comedian Bryan Callen. The show, which debuted in 2013, has become a popular platform for Schaub's comedic and cultural commentary. More recently, he is also the host of the podcast "The Golden Hour", with stand-up comedians Chris D'elia and Erik Griffin.

In addition to his stand-up and podcast work, Schaub has appeared in a number of television shows and movies, including "The Joe Rogan Experience," "Entourage," and "The Fighter."

Despite some controversy surrounding his comedy and commentary, Schaub continues to be a popular figure in the entertainment world, known for his brash humor and unique perspective.
