Mark Normand Praises Kill Tony’s Netflix Deal After Debut Episode
Comedian Mark Normand shared his take on the Kill Tony show landing on Netflix, following the premiere of its first episode on April 7. Known for his sharp, off-the-cuff style, Normand didn’t hold back in backing the show’s bold platform.
“I think it’s awesome,” Normand said. “Love it or hate it, look at the platform.” He pointed to the recent Trump-Biden impersonation bit as an example of what makes the show stand out. “That was so killer—I don’t think SNL would ever have that. Full makeup, three hours, whatever it was… it crushed.”
Normand also commented on the reach the Netflix platform gives to comics who might not get stage time elsewhere. “It’s great that it gives comics a chance to go full character,” he said.
He closed by joking about the show’s polarizing host: “Tony’s kind of a controversial figure… but Netflix has never been shy about hiring gay men, so that’s good. What up!”
Kill Tony’s move to Netflix continues to stir reactions—and Mark’s all for it.
