The liberal media is in full meltdown mode over Kill Tony landing on Netflix, with hundreds of articles already published—many referencing Tony Hinchcliffe’s Trump rally joke or Puerto Rico remark. One of the funniest headlines reads, “Netflix Fans Threatened to Boycott Over Tony Hinchcliffe Comedy Special After Puerto Rico Slur”—only for the article to then focus on people canceling Netflix due to price hikes, with zero mention of Kill Tony.
It’s the usual outrage formula: slap a controversial name in the headline, stir up fake backlash, and cash in on clicks. In reality, these writers couldn’t care less about Tony Hinchcliffe or his Netflix special. They just know Kill Tony is the perfect rage-bait for their audience.
Ironically, the biggest winner in all of this is Kill Tony itself. Thanks to all the coverage, the April 7th release date is getting way more attention than a typical Netflix announcement. So while the media tries to manufacture outrage, all they’re really doing is giving the show free advertising.
