YMH Live 10: The Return of Comedy’s Wildest Live Event
Your Mom’s House (YMH) Live is back after a two-year break, and fans of Tom Segura and Christina P’s dark brand of humor couldn’t be more excited. YMH Live 10 is happening this Friday, bringing back the infamous Heavy Segment, high-quality pre-recorded sketches, and even a $10,000 giveaway.
We sat down with Tom Segura to get the inside scoop on what to expect, how YMH changed the podcasting game, and why some people can’t handle the madness.
What Makes the Heavy Segment So Disturbing?
If you’ve never heard of the Heavy Segment, there’s a good reason—it’s banned from YouTube and reserved for YMH Live events only. It features the most disturbing, shocking, and often disgusting clips the internet has to offer.
Segura explains that the key to a good Heavy Segment clip is survival:
“There’s a certain weird formula to what makes a dark clip fun. Part of it is the person staying alive.”
He also admits that while some clips shake him, nothing is ever truly "too far"—though he does draw the line at actual death on screen.
Dan Soder Faces the Heavy Segment—Is He Ready?
Comedian Dan Soder will be the latest victim to endure the Heavy Segment. While Soder handled Horrible or Hilarious clips well on the YMH podcast, Segura promises he won’t be prepared for what’s coming:
“He’s going to be like, ‘This is not that bad.’ And he’s right—until he’s wrong.”
If history is any indication, Soder will go from confident to scarred for life within minutes.
YMH Live is More Than Just Shock Videos
While the Heavy Segment is the most infamous part, YMH Live is a full-blown event. Here’s what else fans can expect:
Special guests like Joe Rogan, Tim Dillon, or Bobby Lee
Fan interaction, with Tom & Christina reading live reactions
Exclusive pre-recorded sketches, some of which rival top-tier comedy productions
Real-life interviews with YMH’s “Cool Guys,” including Tony John & Will Blunderfield
A brand-new short film created by Segura
One highlight of YMH Live 10 is an OnlyFans deep dive featuring Segura’s own mother, Charo. According to Tom, she has no idea what she agreed to, but when she finds out:
“She’s going to be super pissed.”
Why YMH Live Feels More Special Than Other Live Podcasts
Unlike other shows that stream live events regularly, YMH Live only happens when Segura and Christina feel inspired. This means fans get a well-produced, fully developed show, rather than something rushed for content.
Another big difference? No reuploads.
Unlike other podcasts that clip their live shows for YouTube, YMH Live remains exclusive to those who buy tickets. This has helped keep the event feeling special and worth the price of admission.
“We never release it after the fact. You’re paying for something that actually feels exclusive.”
How the Pandemic Created a New Era of Comedy Live Streams
YMH Live started as a pandemic necessity when live comedy was shut down. But it quickly turned into one of the most successful pay-per-view podcast events ever.
Segura and his team realized that without YouTube’s moderation rules, they could go completely uncensored. This allowed them to push boundaries and experiment with sketches, stunts, and guest appearances in a way no other podcast had before.
Now, YMH Live is less of a necessity and more of a passion project:
“We do this because we just miss doing it. It’s fun. And this time, we’re giving away $10,000 live.”
Will YMH Live Ever Go Back to In-Person Shows?
Segura has experimented with live audience versions of YMH Live, but the results were... mixed.
One issue? People walking out during the Heavy Segment.
“They think it’s just an interactive comedy show… then they see someone anally prolapsing, and they’re like, ‘What the f** are we doing here?’”*
While in-person events could return, Segura believes the best version of YMH Live happens in the home studio, where nothing is censored or restricted.
YMH Live 10: Watch at Your Own Risk
If you’ve never seen a YMH Live event before, consider this your warning:
The Heavy Segment is not for the faint of heart
Dan Soder is about to regret his life choices
This might be the best YMH Live show yet
Whether you tune in for the laughs, the gore, or just the chaos, YMH Live 10 promises to be a comedy event like no other.
